The number of companies going bust was down by 24 compared to the corresponding month of 2014.

Overall year-on-year figures also point to a gradual drop in insolvencies, as 547 companies went belly-up in the first three quarters of this year, down by 13 percent from 630 recorded year on year. The trend is expected to continue throughout the final months of 2015.

The lowest number of insolvencies were reported in the construction and transport sectors, the highest, 19, in manufacture.

Euler Hermes pointed to the Warsaw province (Mazovia), as the region seeing the highest rate of bankruptcies, standing at 12. (aba/rk)
