Last year, over 25.7 million air passengers travelled in and out of Poland, in comparison, just under 900 million travelled through the European Union.

However, the 10.5 percent year-on-year increase seen in Poland was third only to that in Greece (16.3 percent) and Luxembourg (12.2 percent). The total air travel in the EU28 bloc rose by a mere 4.4 percent over 2013, according to Eurostat.

The smallest increase was seen by Latvia (0.4 percent). (rg/rk)
