Foreign investment to create over 8,000 new jobs in Poland

Up to 45 foreign companies have launched investment projects in the year to mid-November, expected to yield 8,000 new job openings.

The total value of the investment projects kicked off is estimated at over EUR 650 million Iwona Chojnowska-Haponik, from the Polish Agency for Foreign Investment (PAIiIZ) told Polish Radio's news agency IAR.

Sectors attracting foreign investors include modern business services, research and development, the automotive industry and aviation.

The agency currently supports some 170 business initiatives, estimated at EUR 3.5 bln, which may created 32,500 new jobs. (aba/rk)
