State-controlled Lotos, one of the largest refiners in Poland, said on Friday that it has chosen its acting chief executive Robert Pietryszyn as the company’s new head.

Lotos last month dismissed CEO Paweł Olechnowicz, who had been in the post since 2002. He was the longest-serving head of a state-owned company since the fall of communism in 1989.

The move was the latest in a long line of reshuffles in the management boards of state-owned companies after the Law and Justice (PiS) party won Poland's October general elections. (pk)
