Sebastian Magadzio, CEO of Airbus Polska, said the move will facilitate the production of components for satellites and space probes.

This will be an expansion of production activity for the plant. Similar parts – electronic components used in the aviation industry – have been produced there since 2001.

By adding the manufacture of parts for the space industry, the plant in Warsaw will reach a higher level of production, added Magadzio.

Sterile conditions are required for the production of the new components, so special large areas of 500 square metres will be created for this purpose.

The opening of the areas, which will coincide with the start of production, is planned for October.
