In June, unemployment stood at 8.8 percent.
At the end of July, 1.361 million people were registered as unemployed at labour offices, 2.2 percent fewer than in June and 14.1 percent fewer than in July last year.
Joblessness last month ranged from 5.3 percent in the central-western Wielkopolska region to 14 percent in the north-eastern Warmia-Mazury province.
In a separate announcement, deputy Family and Labour Minister Stanisław Szwed said earlier this month that unemployment dropped to 8.6 percent in July, the lowest level since 1991.
