IMF lowers Polish GDP forecast

The International Monetary Fund has lowered its forecast for Polish GDP growth in 2016 to 3.1 percent from 3.5 percent.

The forecast for 2017 has been lowered to 3.4 percent from the 3.7 percent growth projected in an earlier report.
In its October World Economic Outlook report, the IMF said that “Hungary’s and Poland’s [inflation] rates are projected to recover slowly from very weak levels in 2015.” (rg/pk)
