Speaking at a G20 summit in Baden-Baden, southwestern Germany, Morawiecki said he had held talks with politicians from Canada, the US and Argentina, which in 2018 will take over the presidency of the group of the 20 most important global economies.

Morawiecki, who is also Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister, added that he talked to Yellen, with whom he had arranged to meet again in two-and-a-half weeks.

Poland was for the first time invited as a guest to a G20 summit of the world’s key economies. The two-day meeting started in Baden-Baden on Friday.

Morawiecki said ahead of the get-together that preventing tax fraud and stopping multinationals from seeking out tax havens were important issues for Poland that would be discussed at the G20 meeting.
