Unemployment falls in Poland

Unemployment in Poland fell to 8.5 percent in February, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Thursday.

Joblessness was 0.1 percentage point lower than this January and 1.7 percentage points lower than in February last year.
The figures from the Central Statistical Office were in line with an estimate by Family, Labour and Social Policy Minister Elżbieta Rafalska earlier this month.
There were 1,383,400 people registered at labour offices as unemployed in February, down from 1,397,100 in January.
