CPI inflation projected at 2.1% this year: Polish central bank survey

Consumer price index (CPI) inflation in Poland is projected to stand at 2.1% this year, increasing slightly next year, according to new a macroeconomic survey by the country’s central bank (NBP).

Meanwhile, Polish GDP is expected to grow 3.4% this year, 3.5% in 2018 and 3.4% in 2019 under a central scenario, the survey said.
"The latest projections indicate that CPI inflation will be close to the NBP inflation target (2.5%) in the coming years,” a commentary accompanying the survey said.
“Under the central scenario, this will be 2.1% in 2017 and 2.2% in 2018, while in 2019 it will grow to 2.4%," it added.
