Decision-makers flock to Krynica Economic Forum

Almost 4,000 guests including top politicians and the heads of major state-owned companies are descending on the southern Polish resort of Krynica-Zdrój for an annual economic forum.

The international forum, billed as the largest conference of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe, runs from Tuesday to Thursday.

Among the issues that will be debated on the first day are the restoration of economic growth in the European Union, and the role of the state in building an innovative economy. A report on Polish start-ups will also be presented during the conference.

Polish President Andrzej Duda will take part in a debate entitled Unfinished Integration – Aspirations of European Countries.

Giorgi Margvelashvili, the President of Georgia, and Gjorge Ivanov, the President of the Republic of Macedonia, are also to speak during the debate.
