Katarzyna Gurszyńska, head of the Randstad Research Institute, said the figure was a record for Poland.

Companies from the construction, industrial and retail sectors are particularly keen to hire more employees, Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

The Randstad survey was conducted between 10 July and 7 August on a sample of 1,000 companies.

In a sign of confidence in the Polish economy, the Moody’s rating agency has strongly upgraded the country’s 2017 GDP forecast to 4.3 percent from an earlier projection of 3.2 percent.
