Industrial production up 8.8% in Poland

Industrial production in Poland rose 8.8 percent year on year in August, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Tuesday.

Analysts had expected an increase of close to 6 percent.
Industrial production grew 6.2 percent year on year in July, according to the statistical office.
It increased 4.5 percent year on year in June and 9.1 percent in May.
Between January and August, industrial production rose 6.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
