Retail sales rise in Poland

Retail sales in Poland rose 7.5 percent in September compared to the same month last year, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Wednesday.

Sales increased 6.9 percent in August year on year, 7.1 percent in July, 6 percent in June and 8.4 percent in May.
A rise was seen in all product categories in September.
Sales of textiles, clothing and footwear increased by more than 32% year on year, while sales of furniture, consumer electronics and household appliances climbed 12%.
