As ministers summed up the first two years of the country’s conservative government led by the Law and Justice (PiS) party, Jurgiel said Polish farmers could now export their products to 70 foreign markets.
He told reporters that the profitability of Polish agricultural production had been improved, particularly in milk and pork farming, and that direct payments to farmers had been speeded up.
Jurgiel added that over the last two years Poland had received PLN 500 million (some EUR 118m, USD 140m) from the European Union under the bloc’s Common Agricultural Policy.
