The number of messages sent to Polish customers about Black Friday deals is expected to exceed 200 million this year, according to estimates by Polish marketing communications firm Redlink.

This is due to a growing popularity of Black Friday among Polish consumers, the company’s marketing manager Marek Kaczmarek was quoted as saying in a press release.

Black Friday, which is a major shopping holiday that follows Thanksgiving Day in the United States and this year falls on November 24, is “one of the most important events for the e-commerce sector,” attracting millions of consumers to both brick-and-mortar and online stores, according to Redlink.

On this day as well as in the run-up to Black Friday, companies ship out millions of messages to customers about promotions and discounts.

Redlink, a communications firm that handles such marketing campaigns, says it last year conducted more than 1,500 email and text-message campaigns, sending out nearly 200 million messages on Black Friday.
