The reading was higher than the 4.7% figure announced in a flash estimate by the office earlier this month.

In mid-November, Poland’s central bank revised upwards its GDP growth forecast for the country, saying it expected the economy to expand 4.2% this year as a whole.

In its July forecast, the bank said it expected the economy to grow 4.0% this year.

Earlier this week, the OECD raised its 2017 GDP growth projection for Poland to 4.3 percent from 3.6 percent in a June forecast.

The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, which brings together 35 developed countries, also raised its 2018 GDP growth forecast for Poland to 3.5 percent from 3.1 percent.
