Poland down by 1 spot in 'Nation Brands' Ranking

Poland has dropped to 27th spot in a global reputation ranking taking in 50 countries. Last year, the country took 26th position in the Anholt-GfK Nation Brands Index.

This year's ranking was headed by Germany, followed by France and Britain. The United States, the longtime leader in the index, dropped to 6th spot.

Poland took 21st spot in the Governance category, scoring higher than the United States which fell from 19th to 23rd place since 2016.

The annual Nation Brands Index gauges the appeal of a given country's image in six dimensions: governance, culture, people, tourism, exports and investment.

The poll was run on a sample of 20,185 adults in 20 countries. (aba)
