PM appeals to retail chains to promote Polish food

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has appealed to retail chains in Poland to promote the country's domestic food products.

Morawiecki said that Poland was open to foreign products, as evidenced by the "Italian Week" or "Portuguese Week" held by various chains to promote food from those countries.

Morawiecki added: “I appeal for... a ‘Polish Week’ to be held in Poland at least once a month in every chain."

He also said that access for Polish food to Western European markets should be easier.

Morawiecki was speaking during a visit to a factory belonging to dairy products company Mlekovita in Wysokie Mazowieckie, north-eastern Poland, on Friday.
