Outpaced only by the Philippines and Indonesia in the ranking, Poland was the only EU country in the top five.

“Amid times of change and uncertainty, investors can find a rather stable safe haven in Poland,” U.S. News & World Report said.

“The World Bank projects the Polish economy to be good shape despite regional turbulence from Brexit and the refugee crisis,” the media company added.

The ranking is compiled on the basis of opinions from 6,000 investors, who took into account criteria such as economic stability, favourable tax environment, innovation, skilled labour force and technological expertise. (aba)
