Polish postal service eyeing 100 new outlets in 2018

Poland’s state-run postal service, Poczta Polska, plans to open 100 new outlets this year, its chief executive has said.

Some of the new post offices will be launched in shopping centres and at train stations, CEO Przemysław Sypniewski said on Thursday.
Last year, Poczta Polska opened 119 new outlets nationwide, Poland’s PAP news agency reported.
At the moment, the company operates a network of more than 7,500 postal facilities across the country, according to PAP.
Poczta Polska last year overcame a downward trend and regained a large portion of the market, according to Sypniewski.
It ended the year with a profit of PLN 1.3 million (EUR 310,000, USD 390,000), while in 2016 it reported a PLN 65.3 million loss, Sypniewski said.
