Polish, Israeli airlines plan team-up

Polish national carrier LOT and Israel's El Al airline want to make travel between the two countries easier.

According to the Polish airline, LOT and El Al signed a letter of intent to codeshare, meaning the two airlines want to share direct and indirect flights between Poland and Israel.
This arrangement would be convenient for passengers on indirect flights, who will not have to check in luggage for a second time during a stopover and transfer between airlines.
LOT has recently signed codesharing deals with Australia’s Qantas airlines, Air New Zealand and Kazakhstan's Air Astana. (vb/pk)
