Polish airline pays tribute to independence

Poland's state-owned carrier LOT has unveiled special paintwork commemorating the country's 100th independence anniversary.

New Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and Boeing 737 MAX 8 planes joining the airline's fleet this year will feature white and red artwork to mark the centenary.
Planes already in the LOT fleet will be adorned with stickers.
“LOT, as the national carrier … is Poland's ambassador to the world,” airline spokesman Adrian Kubicki said, adding that LOT's growth had contributed to Poland's positive image abroad.
