A total of 150.5 million people used trains in the first half of this year, down from 153.5 million between January and June 2017, according to Poland’s Office of Rail Transport (UTK).

Last year as a whole, however, the number of rail passengers in Poland rose 3.8 percent compared to 2016, the office said earlier this month.

That increase was the second highest in Europe, according to the office.
