The annual exhibition, which is due to begin on Tuesday and run until Sunday, will feature military equipment displayed by a total of 328 exhibitors from Poland and abroad, including countries such as Australia, China, Japan and South Korea, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency has reported.

Also expected are exhibitors from the United States, Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Spain, according to the news agency.

But domestically-produced weaponry will take centre stage at this year's event as Poland in 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the restoration of its independence, IAR reported.

First held in 1993, the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce is now in its 26th year.
