The first of the new flights, to Miami in Florida, will take off on Saturday. Passengers will be offered flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Flights to Beirut, Corfu and to Varna, a seaside resort on Bulgaria's Black Sea, will be launched in June, while the Delhi connection will be offered in September.

Since the beginning of 2016, LOT has launched a string of new flights, including long-haul destinations such as Los Angeles, Tokyo and Seoul.

The Polish carrier says it flew nearly 9 million passengers in 2018, more than in any previous year and up from 6.8 million in 2017.
