Tourism to Poland up in 2016

Tourism to Poland was up by seven percent in 2016 compared to the year before, with some six million visitors last year, according to the Central Statistical Office.

Germany, the United Kingdom and Ukraine were the top three countries of origin for visitors to Poland last year.

About 1.6 million tourists came from Germany, and fewer than half a million visitors came from the UK.

In total, visitors to Poland spent about 15 million nights in the country in 2016. (vb/pk)
