The Polish team scored 986.7, while the victorious Austrian team had 999.7 points and Germany placed second with 987.2 points.

“It was not an easy competition for any of the teams,” Stoch told Poland's public broadcaster TVP. “Everyone jumped at a similar level ... This was a very good meet for us,” he added.

The event was part of Raw Air, a no-break ten-day ski jumping tournament underway in Norway, which will see the Polish competitors jumping solo on Sunday.

Poland's squad remains at the top of the ski jumping Nations Cup leaderboard. (vb)
