The tie, on the Louis Armstrong Stadium - the first meeting between Radwanska and Fichman, with the Canadian ranked a lowly 112th in the world by the WTA - will begin around 17.00 CET.

The 25 year-old from Krakow has yet to progress further than the fourth round at the tournament at Flushing Meadows.

Radwanska is in a rich run of form, however, winning the fourteenth title of her career at the Rogers Cup in Montreal, where she beat Sabine Lisicki, Victoria Azarenka and Venus Williams in the final

Jerzy Janowicz will be Poland's main hope in the men's competition, after the Pole lost to Lukas Rosol 3-6, 7-6 (3), 7-5 in the final of the Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Saturday. (pg)
