Poland crush Georgia in Euro 2016 goal-fest

Poland went top of Group D when they beat Georgia 4 – 0 in a fine second half performance during the Euro 2016 qualifier in Tbilisi on Friday evening.

Goals from Glik in the 51st minute, then two in three minutes for Krychowiak and Mila (70 and 73) and Milik in the last minute of normal time left the Poles on 10 points from four games in the group.

In the other group fixtures, Germany only managed to get four past Gibraltar, to put them in second place on seven points, three behind Poland – while Scotland move into third place after beating Ireland one-nil at Celtic Park.
Poland have hit form in their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, including a 7 – 0 slaughter of minnows Gibraltar, a draw with Scotland and an historic 2 – 0 win over world champions Germany. (pg)
