The team was made up of Piotr Żyła, Klemens Murańka, Jan Ziobro and Kamil Stoch – the latter has the winner of two Olympic gold medals. “It was a crazy competition,” said trainer Łukasz Kruczek. “We leave here with a sense that we have done a good job. The competition was exciting to the end. Each member [of the team] showed off his skill,” Kruczek said.

Stoch himself was more concise on his Facebook page, writing simply “Woooohooooo!”

The team had a bad beginning to this year's season. Twice they did not even qualify to the second round of competition. In the first round of the World Championships, the Polish team placed fourth overall. This was party due to a short jump by Jan Ziobro.

“When the first jump did not turn out well, I was convinced that the second will be good,” Ziobro said. And he was right. In the second round of all the Polish competitors had a good jump.
