Skra Bełchatów and Resovia Rzeszów will meet in one of the sem-finals, ensuring the presence of at least one Polish team in the final.

Skra, based in the industrial hub of Bełchatów in central Poland, has knocked out the champions and second-placed team from the strong Italian league, Cucine Lube Treia and Sir Safety Perugia.

Skra has played in the Final Four on three previous occasions, but always as the organiser without the need to qualify.

Resovia, based in Rzeszów in south-eastern Poland, knocked out Russia’s Lokomotiv Novosibirsk, the Champions League winner of two seasons ago. (an)
