Lewandowski fractured his nose and upper jaw in a collision with the goalkeeper of his former side Borussia Dortmund on 28 April. He was rushed to hospital with concussion.

Nevertheless, his doctor has given him the green light to play in Wednesday's match in Barcelona.

The striker was photographed looking in good health as he boarded a plane to the Catalan capital on Tuesday.

On Monday, the Pole joined a Bayern training session wearing a protective face mask.

Lewandowski has scored nine goals in his last eleven matches for the Munich side, meaning that fans are keeping fingers crossed that he can shine during Wednesday's match. (nh)
