Volleyball: Poland loses to USA 2:3

The game was played at the Sears Centre Arena in Chicago.

The host team won three of the five sets, 25:23, 23:25, 25:19, 22:25 and 9:15.

This was the first defeat of Polish national team, and the USA remains unbeaten and is the leader of Group B.

The second Poland-USA meeting will be played late on Saturday. The TV broadcast will start on Sunday at 2.10am CET.

The first game was a match of two undefeated teams in this edition of the tournament, and the Americans have not lost a single point yet.

This was the 19th game between the two teams within the World League, and the ninth time the USA came on top.

This was the first of six away games the Poles will play. After a stay in the USA, the team will fly out to face the Russian team, and will end the away-trip with a game in Tehran against the Iranian national team. (rg)
