Football: Lewandowski hat-trick helps Poland beat Georgia

A dramatic game sees Poland beat Georgia 4:0 to move at the front of the group in the Euro 2016 qualifier in Warsaw on Saturday.

The man of the game was Robert Lewandowski, who manage a splendid hat-trick in the closing stages of Group D as Poland beat Georgia 4-0 in Warsaw.

Lewandowski, who plays with Bayern Munich, managed to score one goal in the 89th minute of the game and then put two more balls in the net in in injury time at Warsaw's National Stadium.

The first goal was scored by Arkadiusz Milik just after the hour, when he managed to outdo Georgian star goalie Giorgi Loria with a long-range shot.

Swansea player Łukasz Fabiański tweeted a picture of the smiling players after the game.

Poland is now the leader of the Group D. The other team in the group which will advance to the final tournament is Germany with 13 points, against Poland's 14 points. (rg)
