The world cup holders thus leapfrogged their eastern neighbours in the Euro 2016 qualifying Group D.
Thomas Muller put the world champions ahead with a tap-in and Mario Gotze doubled the lead, before Robert Lewandowski's eighth goal of the campaign all before half-time.
Gotze's second goal in the second half following a deflected Muller shot saved by Łukasz Fabianski ensured the win.
The win leaves Poland in second place in the group, with Gibralter lined up for Monday.
Leaders Germany are now four points clear of the third placed Republic of Ireland, who beat Gibraltar, and four ahead of Scotland following their 1-0 defeat in Georgia. (jh)
