Poland comes back to beat Iran in Volleyball World Cup nail-biter

Poland beat Iran in their fourth first round fixture of the FIVB Volleyball World Cup in Japan, winning a tantalising victory 3:2 (18:25, 23:25, 25:15, 25:20, 15:11).

After dropping the first two sets, the situation was looking dire for the Poles, but they dug in and won the third set convincingly 25:15.
With new found momentum, the Poles won the subsequent set 25:10, paving the way for a nail-biting finale, which they pulled off 15:11.
Poland, unbeaten so far in the tournament, is now second overall in the results table, behind the United States.
The top two teams in the tournament automatically qualify for the 2016 World Cup in Brazil.
Poland has one more first round match, which will be played against Venezuela on Saturday. (nh/rk)
