The Scottish Football Association and the Polish FA are facing disciplinary proceedings in the wake of Thursday's Euro 2016 qualifier match at Hampden Park, Glasgow.

Both countries are to answer for the behaviour of Polish fans, which included field invasions, letting off flares and fireworks and clashes with stewards.

Scotland is held accountable for what UEFA deemed "insufficient organisation" and lax security, allowing fans to bring in banned items in to the stadium, which were later flung into the field.

One Polish supporter ran into the field to take a selfie with striker Robert Lewandowski, whose goal sealed a 2-2 draw, dashing Scotland's hopes for advancing to the tournament held next year.

Twenty-one people were arrested throughout the match, Glasgow police said.

UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body is to decide on punitive action on 22 October. (aba/rk)
