Sunday's game at Warsaw's National Stadium marks Poland's final Group D fixture ahead of next year's tournament.

A 0-0 or 1-1 draw would secure Poland a place in next summer's tournament in France.

The Polish squad under coach Adam Nawałka will be playing without three members, Arkadiusz Milik, Maciej Rybus and Tomasz Jodłowiec due to health reasons. Martin O'Neill's team will also be missing goalkeeper Shay Given, replaced by Darren Randolph.

Poland and Ireland, both guaranteed a play-off spot, are now both on 18 points, one point behind Germany. (aba/rk)
