Tennis: Radwańska advances to third round of French open

Polish tennis player Agnieszka Radwańska advanced to the third round of the French Open on Wednesday after beating France's Caroline Garcia 6-2, 6-4.

"I think I played two really good matches. Especially this one. I think this was really a tough one," Radwańska was quoted as saying in her post-match press conference.

"I'm just very pleased that I could close that match in two sets, that's for sure,” Radwańska added.

Radwańska, the world number-two seed, will now face Czech Barbora Strycova on 27 May.

When asked about her expectations for the match, Radwańska said: “I think I'm not really thinking about expectations.

“I think [...] match by match, and I'm just very happy to be in the third round.” (rg)
