Legia Warszawa to take on Real Madrid in Champions League

Poland’s Legia Warszawa will take on mighty Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Sporting Lisbon in group F of the Champions League.

The draw for the group stage of the Champions League took place in Monaco on Thursday.
Legia Warszawa is the first Polish squad to reach the group stage in 20 years.
The Poles qualified on Tuesday after winning 3-1 against Dundalk on aggregate following a 1-1 draw at home and beating the Irish squad away 2-0.
Champions League group stage matches take place from 13-14 September to 6-7 December. The final is scheduled for 3 June next year in the Welsh capital, Cardiff. (pk)
