Tennis: Radwańska advances to WTA semifinals

Poland’s top tennis star Agnieszka Radwańska has advanced to the semifinals of the WTA tournament in Tokyo.

Radwańska, last year’s winner of the tournament in Japan, defeated Olympic champion Monica Puig 6:2, 6:3 in the quarter final round.
In the next stage, vying for the final, she will face the winner of the Caroline Wozniacki – Magda Linette encounter.
Tokyo is among Agnieszka Radwańska’s favourite WTA venues, having won two of the previous editions of the tournament and coming second in another final of the event. (ss/rg)
