Tennis: Fyrstenberg gets the better of Matkowski in Sofia

Poland’s Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Slovak Martin Klizan have beaten Pole Marcin Matkowski and Pakistan’s Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi in the first round of the doubles at the ATP tournament in Sofia.

Fyrstenberg and Klizan won 7: 6, 6: 7, 16-14 in a tough match lasting almost two hours.
Fyrstenberg and his teammate will take on British brothers Ken and Neal Skupski in the second round.
In the past Matkowski and his countryman Fyrstenberg played on the same side, winning 15 ATP tournaments together.
Poland’s Jerzy Janowicz later on Wednesday takes on Israel’s Dudi Sela in the singles in Sofia.
