Polish ski jumper equal first in World Cup

Polish ski jumper Maciej Kot has placed equal first on Saturday, alongside Slovenia's Peter Prevc, at a World Cup tournament in Sapporo, Japan.

“It feels great to win,” Kot said after scoring a total of 260.2 points. “It's my first win in the World Cup, hopefully it won't be my last,” he added.
In third place was Austria's Stefan Kraft, trailing the winners by only 2.7 points.
Polish ski jumpers Jan Ziobro and Piotr Żyła secured the 9th and 10th places, respectively, while Kamil Stoch, who tops the World Cup leader board, came 18th. (vb)
