Polish women eighth in Lahti

The Polish women’s team has finished eighth in the 4x5km cross-country skiing relay at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti, Finland.

The Norwegian women’s team won the event, followed by Sweden and Finland.

The Poles came in 3 minutes and 22 seconds behind the Norwegians.

The Polish squad comprised Justyna Kowalczyk, Ewelina Marcisz, Kornelia Kubińska and Martyna Galewicz.

It was Kowalczyk’s last race in the championships in Lahti. Earlier this week, she came eighth in the 10km cross-country skiing event.

Together with Marcisz, Kowalczyk came ninth in the final of team sprint event.

The Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti run until 5 March.
