Tennis: Poland’s Kubot into Miami doubles semi-final

Poland’s Łukasz Kubot and Brazil’s Marcelo Melo have made it through to the doubles semi-final at the ATP Masters 1000 tennis tournament in Miami.

The pair on Wednesday beat Britain’s Jamie Murray and Brazil’s Bruno Soares 2:6, 6:3, 10-8.
Kubot and Melo were outplayed in the first set. In the second they were losing 1:3 at one point but then picked up their game to pull ahead and take the match.
In the semi-final they will take on America’s Brian Baker and Canada’s Daniel Nestor.
Earlier, Poland’s Marcin Matkowski and his French partner Fabrice Martin crashed out of the doubles in Miami in the first round.
