Volleyball: Poland loses to US, out of Final Six

Poland has been beaten 1:3 by the United States in the intercontinental round of the World Volleyball League competition in Łódź, central Poland, and will not compete in next month's finals.

Poland will not compete in the Final Six competition in Brazil from 4-8 July after losing the crucial match to 2016 Olympic bronze-medal team (31:29, 17:25, 25:27, 20:25) on the last day of competition in Łódź on Sunday.
Poland tallied four wins and five losses in the 2017 world league competition.
Twelve teams vied for five spots in the Final Six competition, where the last spot was reserved for host nation Brazil. (vb/pk)
