Kszczot produced a fast finish but was unable to catch France’s Pierre-Ambroise Bosse, who took gold with 1.44.67. The Polish runner finished in 1.44.95

Lisek jumped 5.89m, behind America’s Sam Kendricks, who cleared 5.95m.

The two silvers on Tuesday came a day after Poland's Anita Włodarczyk defended her world championship title with a 77.9-metre win in the hammer throw at the IAAF athletics tournament in London.
