Tennis: Poland’s Kubot into Cincinnati doubles semifinals

Poland’s Łukasz Kubot and his Brazilian partner Marcelo Melo have made it through to the doubles semifinals of the ATP tennis tournament in the US city of Cincinnati.

In the quarterfinals, the pair beat India’s Rohan Bopanna and Croatia’s Ivan Dodig 6-1, 6-7 (5), 10-7.
Kubot and Melo will now have to defeat Britain’s Jamie Murray and Brazil’s Bruno Soares to make the tournament final.
Kubot and Melo last month won the men’s doubles at the Wimbledon Grand Slam tournament in London. (str/pk)
