Tennis: Poland’s Radwańska advances to Connecticut Open quarterfinals

Polish tennis champ Agnieszka Radwańska has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Connecticut Open tournament in New Haven.

The top-seeded Radwańska beat Canada’s Eugenie Bouchard 6-3, 7-5 in their round-of-16 match on Tuesday.
The match lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes.
The Pole will now face off against China’s Peng Shuai, who defeated Croatia’s Mirjana Lucic-Baroni 6-2, 6-3 on Tuesday.
Radwańska, who won the title in New Haven last year, is currently ranked world No. 10 by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). (str)
